Cambridge Floral Designs Cambridge
Flowers arranged in floral foam arrive ready for you to display. Just follow these simple steps to keep your arrangement looking its best.
Add fresh water mixed with one sachet of your Interflora flower food every one to two days to prolong the life of your arrangement.
If any flowers begin to fade, carefully remove them from the arrangement, trim the stem by 1-2cm and place back into a fresh part of the floral foam.
Remove any flowers or foliage that are spent or damaged.
Display your arrangement with care, out of sunlight and away from direct heat sources.
Note
Some flowers and plants can be harmful if consumed. Lilies in particular are toxic to cats. Care should be taken to keep all flowers and foliage out of the reach of children and animals.
Take care when handling flowers, especially lilies, as pollen can stain. In case of contact, remove with sticky tape. Do not rub or use water to remove. Some of your flowers may have been delivered in bud so that you can enjoy them for longer.
Do not place your hand-tied or flower arrangement on furniture or polished surfaces that may become water damaged. Use a protective mat if necessary.
Fill a clean vase two thirds full with fresh water.
Take your Interflora flower food duo and add the contents of sachet one to the water and stir gently. This will provide your flowers with an immediate feed and help keep bacteria at bay.
Remove the protective wrap from around your bouquet, leaving the florist’s tie in place to hold the shape of the design.
Using a pair of sharp scissors, trim the base of each stem by 2cm, cutting at a 45 degree angle.
Carefully remove any foliage from the stems which may sit below the waterline.
Gently place your flowers into the vase and display them away from direct sunlight, sources of heat, cooling vents or ripening fruit.
On a daily basis, top up the water level and remove any spent, damaged flowers or foliage that has fallen below the waterline.
On day three, remove flowers and any foliage from the vase and recut the stems. Clean the vase and fill it with fresh water before stirring in the contents of sachet two of your Interflora Flower Food.
